Born in Split, working for Riba Mljet since August 2011

Joining Riba Mljet was a really tough decision to take back then; I was not local (born on the island), I was the oldest of all employees and I had to work and live away from my family in a period when our third and youngest child was only seven months old! I had the impression that this would be a short period thing and I would not stay here long.

After coming close to my ninth year with Riba Mljet and after a lot of positive and original circumstances and experiences, I am now certain that joining the company was the greatest decision and would never consider leaving!

Mljet is a gorgeous island, local people are friendly and kind and above all, my colleagues have made it a happy experience for me to work here, I feel privileged. I consider myself a part of the company and I am fully aware that it is a totally different feeling compared to typical cases where workers tolerate unbearable working environments for just a salary.

As time went by, my wife supported my decision and we now manage to spend more time on Mljet together as a family.
