My childhood friend Josip told me I should join Riba Mljet and since everything I had heard was good I had no doubts and joined when I got an offer to work for the summer period. Even though Josip had explained most of the details, I was pleasantly surprised when I started to work since it was far more enjoyable than I thought.

I worked very hard and it was very fulfilling when I was offered to stay with the company permanently. Today, after years on Mljet and in this company I can say that I consider my colleagues as family and many locals as my true friends. I now miss my home in Nuštar, Cerić and Vinkovci a little bit less. I am now focussing on obtaining a driving and boat license and contributing even more. I can only find one disadvantage in terms of life on Mljet and this is that sometimes winters last long.
