Riba Mljet Team

My past career oriented in tourism, so when a position for GM for Riba Mljet was published, I doubted whether I should apply or not. Fortunately, my wife’s insistence led to my fascinating job!

Mljet is a gorgeous island, local people are friendly and kind and above all, my colleagues have made it a happy experience for me to work here, I feel privileged.

This positive environment in the company was so attractive that made me want to be part of that team. And so I did... and hopefully for many more years to come!

As the company grew and developed, I felt ambitious and wished to evolve and grow along. With great support and understanding on behalf of my superiors I worked on new skills and expanded my responsibilities and my limits.

I learned everything about nets, fish and boats and now I am great at my job. It is a very nice feeling to invest in your skills and knowledge and succeed in applying in real work.

I worked very hard and it was very fulfilling when I was offered to stay with the company permanently. Today, after years on Mljet and in this company I can say that I consider my colleagues as family and many locals as my true friends.

I was lucky to discover the remarkable island of Mljet, this company and the great people that work here. I am now on my second season and I will do my best to stay with this company permanently. I love Dalmatia, Hajduk and I am very happy to be here.

When joining Riba Mljet, a company that is raising and selling fish, it was a big change for me and I had many doubts in the beginning. Very soon, I found out that I was completely wrong.
